The Pikies are spectacular creatures with unique abilities that you will have to train, feed, and take care of. Their progress depends on your work with them; if they're happy, they'll be more powerful.

Pikies will be released for Steam, although it will be unlockable for other platforms like Nintendo Switch if certain goals are reached, and you'll be able to enjoy it before anyone else in our beta.

What is the beta access? Before its official launch, we want to provide our backers with a unique experience! Sponsors with the 'Tester Pro' rank and those at higher levels will have the privilege of diving into the early versions of the game. If you're one of them, get ready for an exciting adventure in Pikies.

It's important to mention that the beta version of the game will be in the development process, so you might encounter some errors and work-in-progress graphics. But don't worry! This is your golden opportunity to be part of the creative process and contribute directly to the evolution of Pikies. Your opinion matters, and as you play, you'll be able to provide valuable feedback that will help shape the final game.

It's worth noting that the beta version will only be accessible on PC. While you might not be able to transfer your progress from the beta phase to the full game due to significant changes we plan to implement after this phase, your participation in the beta will allow you to be part of the story behind Pikies' development.

Welcome to Exela! 

Exela, a peaceful city where its inhabitants live joyfully. Suddenly, creatures they call Pikies appear without knowing why and change the world forever.

Exela is inspired by the Autonomous Community of Extremadura (Spain), the hometown of the project's CEO. Furthermore, the map is identical to the region, allowing players to recognize the geographical basis of the game. This will help gather ideas for setting the aesthetics and culture of the different cities and towns within Exela.

The game's map will be a 'semi-open world' that you can navigate through without any issues, although you'll come across places you can only access at certain moments in the game. Various buildings, houses, and important locations will be scattered around, which the player must enter to explore and collect all the hidden rewards across the map.

In Pikies, you'll encounter numerous individuals who will aid you in your adventure, along with some enemies. Try to gather as much information as possible if you wish to progress!

You will be able to choose between a teenage boy or girl who must assist their grandfather, a globally renowned scientist, in identifying creatures that have appeared all over the world. Throughout your adventure, you'll come across numerous Pikies, each with diverse features: sizes, weights, colors, and statistics.

 What are Pikies? Pikies are mysterious beings that have recently appeared in the world. Nobody knows exactly where they come from or why they're here, but scientists are eager to study them and learn everything they can about them. Pikies come in a variety of appearances; some resemble adorable and small creatures, while others are larger and more fearsome. They all possess special abilities, such as the power to fly, create illusions, or control the weather.

Each Pikie will have three forms: baby form, mini form, and super form, with the baby form being the first of all. In order to change forms, the Pikie must have its happiness at its maximum; if not, it will devolve to its lower forms, losing some of its power.

It's important to note that you can encounter Pikies throughout the world in any of their three forms!

In order for your Pikie to be happy, it's necessary for it to be well-fed, trained, and not bored. If you manage to accomplish this, you'll have the most powerful Pikie!

Feed your Pikie to increase its happiness. In this world, you'll find a wide variety of foods to help your Pikie grow big and strong. You can give them special meals that will provide additional benefits.

Fight with other Pikies if you want your adventure companion to become stronger. Pikies can level up as they engage in battles, allowing them to gain more skills and enhance their abilities. This shared battle experience will not only strengthen your Pikies but will also bring you closer to them, forming an unbreakable bond on this exciting journey.

Enjoy the thrill of Pikies as you explore new ways of having fun. Interacting and playing with your Pikies will not only bring you moments of joy but also increase their happiness, a key element for their evolution. Equip them with unique items that make them happy, pet them, and ensure they have a good time.

How can Pikies be captured? With the containment ring, a device that was initially created to study ways of 'modifying' the matter and energy of solids. They hadn't had much success with objects or beings from this world; however, by chance, it was used on a Pikie and it worked. The mechanism of the containment ring utilizes a combination of nanobot technology and electromagnetic energy to temporarily shrink the size of the Pikie and introduce it into the ring.

Each ring can only contain one Pikie, so if you want to catch another, you have to deposit the Pikie into storage devices, which are nothing more than machines you can find throughout the world. A player can carry only one containment ring.

The process to capture Pikies is as follows: the user must take the containment ring and activate it (by pressing a touch button). Once activated, the ring sends an electromagnetic signal to the Pikie, causing it to become momentarily immobilized. It's at this point that the nanobots come into play, temporarily shrinking the size of the Pikie to fit within the containment ring. Once the Pikie has been captured, all the information is recorded in the Pikipedia, and if desired, it can be transferred to a storage device.

What is the Pikipedia? The Pikipedia is a database created by the scientific community dedicated to the study of Pikies. It's an online platform where scientists can share information about the Pikies they have studied, including their behavior, abilities, and physical characteristics. To access it, you'll be able to do so through your P-phone, which is a mobile device that will also serve you for communicating with your acquaintances.

The Pikipedia is divided into sections dedicated to each type of Pikie, and in each section, you can find detailed information about each species. There are also sections dedicated to the history of Pikie research and the technology used to study them.

Individuals who wish to contribute information to the Pikipedia can submit their findings obtained by capturing Pikies through their P-phone. This device will gain more functionalities and applications as you progress in the game (some functionalities can be added upon achieving certain goals that you can see below).

Pikies is inspired by Pokemon and Digimon, two franchises that deeply resonated with the CEO of Pikies. It aims to capture the essence of the best aspects from both games while creating unique and incredible mechanics, dynamics, and aesthetics. Certain parallels with other types of games in terms of aesthetics can also be observed.

In Pikies, players will be able to enjoy a unique environment based on Extremadura, where certain nods to notable aspects of its culture can be found. In Pikies, you can also discover a highly detailed customization system for your character, ensuring that each player's experience is different.

Pikies arose from the creator's, Luis Manuel Soto, desire to design a virtual universe where you can enjoy and embark on adventures. Since the idea first came to him, he never stopped searching for individuals who wanted to be part of Pikies' development. That's why Pikies now has a programmer, a conceptual artist, a musician, a 3D modeler, an animator, and a Community manager.
